We're thrilled to share that K-Oz Plumbing & Gas has joined the Genshare Business Network. As one of Brisbane's most trusted names in plumbing and gas services, K-Oz is known for delivering reliable, high-quality work across Brisbane's south side and eastern suburbs. K-Oz represents a deliberate step into property maintenance, a sector in which scale can unlock compounding advantages through shared customers, channels and referral sources.
Founded in 2013 by Steve Kozlowski and his wife Natalie, K-Oz has built a strong reputation serving property managers, builders, and families. The 17-person team handles everything from emergency repairs and hot water systems to gas fitting, ongoing maintenance work and construction. Client retention sets K-Oz apart: many customers have been depending on their services for over a decade. This customer loyalty is built on consistently impeccable results and efficient service, and is testament to the calibre and performance of the K-Oz team. The maintenance arm is the engine of the business, ensuring K-Oz has a stable, predictable earnings base that's proven resilient in different economic cycles.
The founder was ready to transition out and sought a buyer who would preserve the operational model and culture that define K-Oz. Through Genshare's ownership model, the business will be led by Michael Hennessy, who joins as General Manager and co-owner. Michael brings 25+ years of experience across engineering, energy, and operations, with a proven track record leading high-performing teams on complex industrial projects across Australia and Asia-Pacific He has held senior commercial and leadership roles at Santos, Origin Energy and Questus Energy. Michael grew up in the area in which K-Oz operates, and comes from a plumbing family – this kind of business is not just familiar to him, but actually feels like home.
Genshare CEO Steve Hibberd said:
“From our very first conversation, it was clear that K-Oz was something special. The whole picture was really compelling: a resilient, maintenance-led business, with long-standing customer relationships, and a team that's largely grown up with the company. That kind of trust and stability is exactly what we look for because it’s not easy to build. We're excited to be part of what comes next.”
Set against a $22.2bn Australian plumbing market, driven by population growth and the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, K-Oz is positioned for long term success.
We're excited to welcome K-Oz Plumbing & Gas and its talented team to the Genshare Business Network.
